Hemos tenido una buena estancia en el hotel Pestana Dom João II y los campos nos han parecido muy bien (Alto, Gramacho, Vila Sol, Pinta and Silves).

Everything went according to plan and we were very happy with all the arrangements.

The Pestana Dom João II Hotel is perfect for golf holidays and with direct access to the lovely beach and boardwalk there was always something to do on days when we weren’t golfing. The buffet breakfast in the hotel was very good. I went to some of the excellent restaurants in Alvor at night but some of our group did have dinner in the hotel and found it good.

We were very lucky with the weather and considering the amount of rain that fell in the weeks prior to our arrival the golf courses were in very good condition (Pinta, Gramacho, Vila Sol and Alto).

The transfer to and from the airport and golf courses was top class and very efficient.

Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday and were very pleased with all the arrangements made by you.

We had a wonderful stay! Your country is amazing and your organisation of the trip was excellent.

Pestana Dom Joao location is really great, on the ocean! Staff were helpful, professional, all very good, the buffet breakfast varied and good, complete.
The rooms need some «love», especially the bathroom. Everything else is great so they should address this and invest a bit not to lose their good standards.

NAU morgado, very well maintained, nice, friendly staff, very good breakfast, The site is wide and isolated. good that we had a car. Clean and nice.

The Praia D'el Rey Beachfront was our big suprise! We did not expect a 3 floor condo! The view was just incredible with the sunset, we were ready to move there!!

All bookings and tee times were respected. The courses proposed were amazing (even with the remnants of the storm). I particularly enjoyed the Salgados and the Gramacho, my partner really enjoyed the West Cliffs, Salgados, Vila sol.

It was a perfectly organized holiday. The hotel Pestana Alvor Praia, the rooms there, the breakfast, and the bar were excellent. For dinner, we didn't use the hotel restaurant but ate ate at various restaurants in Alvor. All the courses we booked with the Pestana group were in excellent condition.

The move to the Palmares Beach Hotel brought a small surprise. They had sacrificed the small bar area with sofas and club chairs for new dining tables to create more space in the restaurant. This wasn't ideal and detracted from the otherwise good impression.
All three courses were in good condition (Palmares, Boavista and Espiche). We also visited several restaurants in Lagos while at Palmares.
All in all, it was a perfectly organized trip.

We had a great time, the weather was fine, the Pestana Vila Sol was comfortable and the golf courses in very good shape - Alto, Vila Sol, Gramacho, Silves and Pinta goolf courses.

2 comments I would like to make:
1. It would be helpful to indicate the distance from the hotel to the golf places. We did not pay attention to this aspect and found the driving distance quite long.
2. The wellness area of the hotel is more than poor, the sauna beyond acceptance. That was a great deception as we like to relax in a cosy wellness place.

But apart from these two aspects the package is surely recommendable and I do believe that we will be back in this region in the future.

Pestana Dom João II was great, perfect location in Alvor for us to explore the town, hotel staff were great to deal with and the amenities were good as well.
Hilton Vilamoura was also a nice hotel, front staff were not the most pleasant but oh well, we didn't explore to much in the hotel. They did a very nice gesture for me on my birthday, delivered sparkling wine and a cake so that was very touching. 

Golf courses were amazing (Vila Sol, Gramacho, Silves, Pinta and Alto golf courses), and we had a few favorites!

We definitely loved the small town feeling of Alvor. The beaches were clean, the ocean and views were beautiful and everyone was friendly and inviting. This was more our vibe vs Vilamoura but we enjoyed Vilamoura.  We ventured to the Vilamoura Marina on our last day, very interesting down there and fun.

Overall, it was a great golf vacation! The food and pastries so yummy , the small cafes and bars were great!
