A delight for the golfer

The 18-hole Championship Boavista Golf Course was designed by Howard Swan, with the intention of creating a golf course as if it has always been there by preserving, integrating and harmonising with the area's natural terrain.

Boavista Golf Course, located in the beautiful town of Lagos, offers spectacular views of the impressive hills of Monchique and the Algarve coastline.

The most interesting holes of Boavista

With two distinctive sections, the Resort Section (the 1st to the 3rd and the 13th to the 18th) and the Country Section (the 4th to the 12th), the Boavista Golf Course offers a variety of attractive and interesting holes, starting with the first hole, a meandering downhill par-4.

There are a number of exciting holes at Boavista Golf Course. The 6th par-3 requires a tee shot over a natural ravine, while lake holes 14, 15 and 17 provide an intriguing array of water features. The course also features a replica of the famous Swilken Bridge found at the 18th hole of St. Andrews.

The signature hole of Boavista Golf Course is the par-4 7th hole, set against a glorious backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean with stunning panoramic views.
