Everything was as planned
Back in Finland! Thanks for the arragements for our holiday. Everything was as planned. Drivers were always in time (mostly even beforehand). Hotel (Aroeira Lisbon Hotel) is nice, and their kitchen is fabulous. That feedback I already told in the restaurant.
Near AroeiraLisbon Hotel there is not much to do - but for golfers that is most of the time ok. Both golf courses (Aroeira Pines Classic and Aroeira Challenge) were also nice and roundtimes suitable. Weather was a bit rainy half of the week - but
sunshine is a thing which can never be ordered beforehand. We shall keep in touch some other time (and other golftrip).
On behalf the entire group I can honestly say the whole trip was excellent.
On behalf the entire group I can honestly say the whole trip was excellent.
The Hotel Sesimbra Spa, the room, facilities, service and location were top class.
Aroeira courses were good but presentation and condition were a bit disappointing. It was hard to get a coffee or a beer that day at Aroeira Challenge Clubhouse.
Quinta do Peru was exceptional and I would prefer to play there every day.
The town of Sesimbra was a real surprise with the fantastic clean beach, excellent restaurants and bars with reasonable prices.
I would hope to return again.
Many thanks for all of your help with the trip.
Our room was very big with a beautiful view
Our trip to Portugal was very nice and unfortunately already over.
The Sesimbra Hotel was okay, our room was very big with a beautiful view. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. Breakfast, restaurant and so on were in case of Corona a little restricted.
The golf courses Aroeira I and Quinta do Peru were very good. Aroeira II wasn't that good.
The golfclub rental went very well. Only the balls didn't always go where they should have. That must have been the fault of the clubs :-)
Otherwise we liked everything very much and we can totally recommend the trip. Thank you very much.
Trip was perfect!!
Trip was perfect!! Thank you very much again.
Regarding hotel Altis Grand- all good.
Regarding Golf – all good. Bom Sucesso – visible that course needs more money to put…. But ok. On the other hand Aroeira was amazing!! Very nice course and perfect conditions.
Overall – Lisbon trip was so nice and relaxing… not just golfing also people very friendly, good food, nice bars… Perfect!
Everything was perfect and nothing to fault!
Sesimbra was very nice place with very nice people. Everything was perfect and nothing to fault at the Hotel Sana Sesimbra. Many nice restaurants in the area, with good food and services.
Quinta do Peru became our favorite golf course. Relatively short distance (25-30 min). Nice atmosphere, lovely layout and very nice place to play golf, very good service and good food. Aroeira 1 and Aroeira 2 are perfect golf courses but a little poorly maintained autumn weather. Demanding and long golf courses, but no complaints. We had two hours of heavy rain the first day. The clubhouse at Aroeira 1 was totally ok but the facilities at Aroeira 2 were very poor. A shed, where they had toilets without locks and nothing to serve. Too far away from the clubhouse at Aroeira 1. Around a mile. That was one of the reasons we switched the last two days.
Sesimbra was a great place but the golf courses were too far away. The bus ride to Aroeira took 50-55 minutes while the trip to Quinta was on average 30 minutes. There was also a lot of traffic towards Aroeira. No negative memories, everyone was happy about the nice golf courses. And not least because the place had so many great restaurants (also the Michelin restaurant) in Sesimbra.
Thank you for all the help, also for changing golf courses. All the buggies ordered were parked in front of us when we arrived at the courses.
