We have been able to successfully assist our clients with cancellations, refund or rescheduling of their golf trip through the months of March, April, May and later months.

The State of emergency in Portugal finished on the 1st May 2020.  Portugal has been acclaimed internationally for the way the country and the Portuguese people have been successfully managing the Coronavirus outbreak so far, keeping the numbers down.   

From 4th May 2020, Portugal is re-opening gradually. Most of the golf courses in Portugal are now opened. 

On 4th June 2020, Portugal is the first European country to receive the "SAFE TRAVELS" stamp by World Travel & Tourism Council.

Portugal remains the 3rd safest country in the world and safest country in the European Union according to the latest Global Peace Index 2020 (GPI).

22/06/2020 - Portugal is right now the European country which is testing the most with more than 100 tests per 1000 inhabitants.
01/07/2020 - The border between Spain and Portugal is opened.

Hotels re-opening from 31/05/20

The first of our hotel partners will re-open 31st May 2020 and gradually throughout the months of June and July. The re-opening dates are clearly stated in the Golf Packages section. The hotels are currently getting ready and are working together with the "Turismo de Portugal" (Portugal Tourism board) to get the "Clean and Safe" stamp.

Restaurants and Museums re-opened since 17/05/2020

The stability of the covid-19 case numbers has led the Portuguese Government to move on to the second phase of deflation. Restaurants and coffee shops and shops up to 400 square metres are reopening starting from 17/05/2020 with safety standards and maximum capacity reduced to half. 
Museums and national monuments are also re-opening in Portugal.

Traveling to Continental Portugal
  • Mandatory use of mask in public transport, supermarkets and shops
  • Mandatory social distancing
  • Advised use of mask in public outings 
  • Additional disinfection and cleaning available 
  • No mandatory confinement when you travel to Portugal
  • Walkthrough camera system for temperature control in the airports

Swimming or water sports are allowed. Sunbathing is also allowed. 
From 6th June 2020, the bathing will start and access to the beach will be conditioned. The practice of sports activities with 2 or more people is not allowed (eg. ball games, rackets, etc.), except for nautical activities, surf lessons and similar sports.

An occupancy status system will be implemented through signage:
Green: low occupancy (1/3)
Yellow: high occupancy (2/3)
Red: full occupancy (3/3)

On Portuguese territory, travellers from affected areas who show symptoms suggestive of respiratory disease during or after travel should immediately contact the National Health Service by calling 808 24 24 24 (SNS24).
