Formula 1 returns to Portugal in 2027!

The Portuguese Grand Prix will return to the Formula 1 calendar in June 2027, bringing the world's most prestigious motorsport championship back to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão. 

The 4.6 km Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, is located in Portugal's southern Algarve region, Portimão. The circuit previously hosted Formula 1 in 2020 and 2021 and is known for its significant elevation changes and technical layout.

Taking place from 18 to 20 June 2027, the Portuguese Grand Prix will be the 9th round of the 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship, following the Monaco Grand Prix and preceding the British Grand Prix.

For motorsport fans, it is an opportunity to combine the excitement of Formula 1 with the Algarve's exceptional climate, beaches, gastronomy and hospitality.

More Formula 1 action in 2027!
The 2027 season will also feature 10 Sprint weekends, up from six in 2026. This means even more competitive action across the season. However, the Portuguese Grand Prix is not scheduled as a Sprint weekend. The Sprint events in 2027 will take place in Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, Brazil, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
