A relaxing place

Located close to the medieval town of Castro Marim, in the Algarve, Portugal, the Castro Marim Golf Course has a truly unique setting. Castro Marim was the first golf course to be built in this region, offering players beautiful views over the Atlantic Ocean, the River Guadiana and the nearby nature reserve.

A 27-hole course

The Castro Marim Golf Course runs through undulating hills dotted with pines, with occasional views across the River Guadiana to neighbouring Spain. The Castro Marim Golf Course provides three nine hole loops: the Grouse, the Atlantic and the Guadiana. The course requires careful play due to strategically placed water hazards, bunkers and fairway terrain. The par-3 on the 17th is a hole that calls for special club selection, with bunkers in front of the green, a lake behind and prevailing Atlantic winds.

While the Atlantic and the Guadiana courses of Castro Marim wind their way through pine-clad hillsides, those of the Grouse bring a greater sense of space. At Castro Marim Golf Course, the fairways and greens are generous, allowing for a greater sense of freedom when teeing off.
