The Hyatt Regency Hotel was recently refurbished. Rooms allocated were well equipped and new – But twin beds were not provided – because apparently not all rooms were ready/available. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The bar was good – The hotel restaurant was not used because of preference to use local restaurants nearby. The pool and spa were unfortunately closed because of refurbishment works.

The Old course was the best. The welcome was exceptional and well-appreciated. The practice facilities, the course maintenance and condition, the layout and the clubhouse were all superb – a unique experience overall.
Pinhal was also good – the course condition, playing experience and facilities were all very good and enjoyable.
Quinto do Lago was good – But very wet conditions also on the day itself. Some greens and holes were unplayable because of the torrential rain.
Espiche was (rather surprisingly) in poor condition overall – The greens were poor – It was not worth the long drive.

The airport transfers driver was present on arrival at the airport with a name placard. – always on time and also very pleasant.

All in all – everything was smoothly executed, according to the planned itinerary and very enjoyable.

Quinta do Lago Golden Golf Tournament

Thanks for the email, I loved the week , it was fabulous event (as always !) and I really enjoyed it - 5 Stars from me!

Wyndham Grand Algarve, 5 stars - It was excellent hotel, spa was good and rooms were luxurious, clean and spacious. Great location for golf and I would stay there again without issue. Bar menu needs an update , food here was average. But overall it was the staff that made the stay a pleasure, always friendly and happy. Greeted at reception with a glass of water which was very welcome.

Golf courses were great! Laranjal golf course was exemplary and so well kept. Quinta do Lago North & South courses were a next step and despite huge golf traffic excellently kept, I really enjoyed them and was really happy to play this quality of courses.

I can confirm that firstly the airport transfers were well organised and went very smoothly.

The hotel Vila Galé Marina was great value, the food and facilities were a good standard and none of our party had any negative comments.

Transfers to and from the courses was very good, we asked for a couple of pick up changes and they were all went very well.

The courses themselves were as to be expected exceptional in all ways (Quinta do Lago South, Quinta do Lago North, Quinta do Lago Laranjal) and the entire trip was a sheer joy.

Dona Filipa:
Great hotel, probably the 4th visit here, everything works. The breakfast is very good and the dinner was also very good. The room was spacious, although there was no heat from the air conditioner, but it was not freezing.

Pestana Dom Joao II:
A solid hotel where everything works. Good breakfast and excellent value for money. 

The golf courses:
They are all familiar and good. San Lorenzo is my personal favorite, restaurant is Ok. Quinta Do Lago courses are great, restaurants is good. My husband liked Pinheiros Altos, Sea Bass in golf-restaurant is very good. Vale Da Pinta is also a nice course for club players and restaurant is good.

Back from few intense days in Vilamoura. Both the location and breakfast were very good at the hotel Dom Pedro Vilamoura which was the most important to us. Although, in general it does not hold the same class as some other hotels your recommended to us in the previous years, but it was absolutely ok.
The golf courses at Quinta do Lago were the highlight, all three courses are very good and fun to play. They also were in perfect condition.  Of the 54 different golf holes, it was perhaps only 2-3 holes that was less good design! The staff was both friendly and helpful and the shuttle service works perfect, the 5 rounds package for €525 is absolutely worth the money. 
The driver at Faro airport did a good job and I want to thank Portugal Golf Experience again for an excellent arrangement.
